Paleo Diet - Blackened Fish

Monday night was the start of our new way of eating. I'm so excited to share this with everyone! I'm in love after the first meal! This first dish isn't from any Paleo website, but it easily fits in.

3 T of Paprika
1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp of Garlic Salt

2 T of Olive Oil
2 filet

Tartar Sauce:
1/3 c of Eggless Mayo (I didn't find any to use this time )
2 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp Onion Powder

Sides Steamed Carrots and Broccoli
3 Carrots
1 head of broccoli

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place aluminum foil on baking pan, and brush with olive oil. Combine paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic salt in a bowl. In another bowl, pour 1 T of Olive oil. Clean Tilapia, dip in olive oil and then dip in spice mixture. Place Tilapia on baking dish. Cook for 10-15 minutes until flaky.

Seasoned fish (uncooked)

While cooking the fish, place chopped broccoli and carrot in a pot with an inch of water and cook on Med to Med-High. Cover, and let cook until tender.

This was actually pretty good. Prepare yourself for some spicy fish though! The only thing Rob didn't like was the tartar sauce, but he hated that before I made it. This recipe is definitely a keeper for me.
